Subject: York to become a College
York University has decide to give up its university standings to become a a first class college with the likes of Humber. Due to the lack of the graduates industry performance when compared to U of T, Waterloo, McMaster, McGill, Ryerson, Wilfred Laurier, Brock, etc. York will start over as one of Canada´s best college, fulfilling the wishes of Yorks Students to be the best school. I always thought York should be a college. I think this is a good move for York, as a college, their graduates will be highly respected and should perform at par with humber grads.

I honestly began searching this rumor on the net. I am assuming this is a lie, but it is reflective of truth. After all Yorkies believe their engineering program is better than waterloo´s.

York to become a college??

What a joke!!
It has the most prestigious fine arts, law and business schools. A lot of top-notch programs in liberal arts such as sociology, political science and history.
Our engineering is better than UWaterloo and that is space engineering.

Well, people here are too jealous especially from UofT and Concordia.

UofT------> Fear of replacement
Concordia---> Reduce an opponent to have less competition.

Everyone wants his enemies to die, right?
You ppl never know what is cooperation and teamwork!!

This rumor has been confirmed, a bunch of rejected university students still trying to be the best, but not being thought reality thinking at York College. The last I heard was York´s Engineering program was rejected numerous times to get accreditation from the PEO and they are reapplying, yet their students believe they have an engineering program better that Waterloo´s. Once again, the students prove logic is not in the York´s Curriculum. If a University does not have an Engineering program, they should be considered a College. Even lakehead has an engineering program. But wait ... You will wake up when you are offered $10/hour after graduation

"If a University does not have an Engineering program, they should be considered a College. "

^
Do you think it is very difficult to build and set up an engineering school??? Do you think it is as hard as to build a nuclear reactor???

Just negate the above quoted sentence,
If a University HAS an Engineering program, it should NOT be considered as a college.
How come all the colleges in Ontario (such as Seneca, Centennial and Sheridan) have engineering schools?? They should be universities?? They refused to become universities because they want to have a higher rankings in the college level???

Grow up kids!!

^ Obviously this is a Yorkie who fails logic once again. An ENGINEERING SCHOOL must be Accredited by the PEO or some professional body. Plus, your student body must be smart enough to support an engineering school. Only graduates from a PEO accreditted school call themselves engineers, graduates from colleges are known as Engineering technologist, isn´t it funny, that when you graduate from York´s so called engineering school, you are also known as an engineeing technologist?? hmmmm 1 + 1 does not equal 3

good lord... im happy someone cleared that up. You cant even begin to compare "engineering technology" at a college to a PEO accredited program. And just to clear things up a little more.. YORK SUCKS! i turned down york to go to lakehead, because i wanted to graduate from a real engineering program that is actuallt PEO accredited.
