(in reply to: concordia university) what makes you say that??? I mean any genuine reasons???
I know there are only two english speaking universities in montreal. Mcgill and concordia. I am sure no one has doubts regarding mcgill´s reputation and prestige at home and abroad. But why concordia???

(in reply to: concordia university) Any great university has a great business school along with a great engineering school.
Both Concordia´s business school and engineering school are definitely in Canada´s top 10 in both categories.
Concordia does have the second largest graduate engineering student body in Canada, and all of them work in a brand new 17 storey tower in downtown Montreal.
Concordia´s John Molson MBA is more prestigious than every school in Maclean´s comprehensive category with the exception of York´s Schulich.
So, why is Concordia so underrated in Canada?

(in reply to: concordia university) yes. I do agree with you. The only reason i can think of is. Its a fairly new university . You cant compare it with mcgill or toronto . both established in 1820´s. In comparison concordia was established in 1950´s or something like that. Concordia lacks history. Thats one reason i can think of. None of the past students, alumni or teachers have received noble prize for anything. I think mcgill has 3 and toronto has 2. I might be wrong.

(in reply to: concordia university) The difference between undergrads in engineering is minuscule, Although there may be some small differences between business schools.. I doubt that you could tell a grad from concordia from a grad from anywherwe else.
Anyways, macleans is about the biggest load of shit when it comes to trying to judge univerisitys. I think they give alot of highschool students a false impression of universitys.

(in reply to: concordia university) Concordia is a good university and is definitely one of the most underrated unis in Canada.
However, it is nowhere close to McGill. McGill is an internationally well-known uni, and one of the most prestigious in the world. Concordia however, is not really known outside of Canada.

(in reply to: concordia university) Okay, lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Mcgill is not one of the most prestigious universities in the World. Get real.
