Subject: Serious question about Calgary and Concordia
Hmm, I am an international student who has just gotten into McGill. So I have nothing to do with Calgary or Concordia...

However, I know that these two schools are really really well-known overseas, and they have really leading scholars. I mean, in my area, there are lots of top people working in Calgary and Concordia.

My question is: "Why aren´t these two schools ranked very highly by any rankings?" Is it because they are not popular among Canadian kids? Is it because the entering average is too low? I really mean it, coz actually to me, although I chose McGill for its prestige, Calgary and Montreal are as good as McGill.

Calgary has the better B.School.
As for rankings, they will do whatever they will do. Our Prime Minister is a U Calgary graduate. So much for rankings.

It´s a very simple answer. McGill has built its reputation over 175 years while Calgary and Concordia are much younger schools.

Calgary and Concordia are simply underrated by Macleans magazine while McGill is overrated.

McGill is probably the best Canadian school at marketing its brand across the world, although "well-informed" Canadians know McGill isn´t the best at anything anymore, but still not bad.
