Subject: Lakehead Law School
I am finishing my B.Sc in the UK and will be applying to law school in Canada. My brother lives in Ontario and told me they´re opening up a new Law school at Lakehead in Thunder Bay. Do I have to be a resident in Ontario to apply there? If not, would being a resident increases my chances?

Yes, there will be a new law school at Lakehead. From what I´ve noticed about NOSM, there is a slight edge for applicants with close ties to Northern Ontario. I expect the law school would be similar in terms of preference for Ontario residents. The program is expected to enroll 55 students in 2013. Not sure how many spots would be allocated for international students.
