Subject: Where do I start? I'm a mature applicant.
Hello,
I just joined this forum.
I´m 24 years old and have been out of school for more than 3 years. So, I will have to apply as a mature applicant. Unlike high school applicants who already finished their applications, I still have time to do some research and apply before May, 09.

Five years ago, I made a mistake of choosing a wrong school for me. I won´t mention the name. I didn´t do research thoroughly and just casually chose it because it´s one of the most well-known universities in Canada.

I´m going to study Spanish language & culture as major and music as minor. I´d like to get to know some people here to get as much info as I can because I can´t do it all alone. Please give me some ideas about what to look for in a university. How can I go about figuring out which ones are for me and not. I also want to listen to people who were or are in these programs.

Lastly, what are the disadvantages of entering as a mature student? I know that I will have probation status at the beginning.

Thank you for your time.
