Ok..this is a sad story!!I applied for immigration in 2002.by 2003 all my formalities including the medical was done.i got married and wanted to add my wife...Buffalo requested additional info for her and then I just lost track of the whole thing...my mistake i know!!!i did not send any info..and moved 3 times since.All this was in 2003.Now i desperately need to immigrate...but the online case status shows withdrawn...but when i read the details it says..all my info has been recieved and a decision has been taken and i will be informed of it...i am confused by what they mean.the address on file is ancient of course since i did not update it ever.i have sent numerous emails and faxes to buffalo but got no response.How do i get them to respond?And shd i send in a new application with fees again?:(i am desperate now.And thanks a million in advance for any advise you ppl can give.

There are two things you should do:
1. Write to Buffalo explining the situation. Highlight the fact that so much happened in last few years that kept you busy with things and loose sight of the case. I know it is a little hard to believe, but marriage, moving can cause you all that. Maybe they may just buy that and ask you to proceed with Medicals for you and your wife.
This I´m assuming that - they did not reject your case, but have just noted as intent of no response from your end.
2. To know exactly what is going on order your CAIPS file asap. This will show what has really happened on your case.
But first is to make contact with CIC and be honest about it as you have been here on forum. Hiding things never work, people make mistakes and you are at least honest to admit you made them and this is a quality I´m sure CIC will consider.

It seems you ignored the CIC requests because you were not ready to immigrate but now you are ready they have withdrawn your application. This is an important process and you seem to ignored that fact. You are desperate to immigrate now but you did not inform them of your moving or marriage. The process is not based on if YOU are ready...when CIC says you have to have things done....you have to have those things done.
I bet you have to start the whole process over and pay all fees. With all the backlogs they have now, I dont think telling them that you forgot and you made a mistake will help.

my file was also wothdrawn because CIC sent me a package which I didnt receive. But in my case, I let CIC know of my address change. However, CIC sent the package to my old address and as they did not get any response, they just withdrew my application. When i contacted them by email, I clarified the whole thing. Now they have re-opened my file. In my case, it was CIC´s mistake as my new address was not processed in their system.
I would suggest you to contact CIC and explain the whole situation. If possible, provide a contact number where they can contact you.

Thanks a lot,´star wars,´immigration guy´ and ´sleeping´ for your inputs.i am pretty sure it was withdrawn because of no response on our part.Now i just need to figure out how to get a response from them.i have sent numerous mails and faxes in the last 2 months explaining that my address was not updated and hence i missed their last package or whatever.I am just praying that they reopen the file because i was almost through with the whole process..even my medicals were sent and i had been really prompt.now i have to go throu´the whole thing again...
i am even willing to go down to buffalo.i have the email address off the website and the immigration phone num and fax...nothing works!
Anyway.thanks again and if anyone has any ideas on how to contact them pls let me know.

Hi Zaheer,
As Starwars mentioned please order your CAIPS notes (visit www.caipsnotes.com). From the notes you will definately come to know if your case has been closed. It will take 40 to 50 days to get the notes.
