| Subject: How long after Passport Request - CHC New Delhi |
Hi there
My husband sent his passport to CHC New Delhi yesterday, any idea how long they take to stamp it and mail it back??
Anyone sharing the same timeline please respond...

As per previous posters on this forum, the quota for CHC Delhi is over this year so probably he will receive it in the first qtr - 2006

Hello YD,
It will take approx 3-7 months to get back his passport. I am in the same boat, waiting for my wife passport. Its 18 days passed by since she has send her passport to ND.
my time line is as follows
Spouse Sponsorship.
Applied at CPC-Miss. - Aug 22, 2005.
Sponsorship Approved - Sept 8, 2005.
New Delhi starts processing - Sept 19, 2005.
PPR received - Sept 29, 2005.
New Delhi receive passport- Oct 5, 2005.(received call by CHC-ND and told she will be receiving her passport in 3-4 weeks)
Received passport back - ~~predicting Nov 15, 2005.~~

Thanks a lot for the information... i thought they take about 2 weeks or so... but if your wife hasn´t received her passport back yet then i don´t know how long are they gonna take with my husband´s passport!!!
They are really slow... its been 19 months since i sponsored him... it just takes a hell lot of time!!

19 months....its unbelviable....and I can understand how you might be feeling...but since now they have asked your husband passport, so you r almost there...just hang in..
By the way, may I ask you why does it took you so long for the process..... was there an interview ? from the past experience and looking into diff forums I guess women have the fair chance for the fast process...
You can send e-mail to delhi office to find out the status of your app...delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
I send email to them and they called my wife and told that passport will be send back in 3-4 weeks, So I guess she should receive back by Nov 15th.

i have completed my medicals (for spousal sponsorship)along with my one year old son on 20th october 2007.its been almost 3 months and i still have not recieved my passport request.plz tell me how long does it take.
