Hi to all and thanks for sharing all the information.

I have applied for PR through Buffalo, Meanhwile my company where I work on a H1-B has filed for my green card in US and the process is on since one year.

Can you please advise if my green card process will be affected due to my pending PR application in Canada and vice versa if PR in Canada will be affected by my green card process.

I am asking this since most of the checks are integrated together and both agencies will know about this. Will it have an adverse effect.

I am presuming most of the PR candidate on this forum are in the same boat and Canadian immigration is a back up since US gc has taken a toss for the worse esp for indians and chinese.

Why do you think MOST of the PR applicants are in the same situation? Not everybody is keen to get US green card.

althouh I applied for PR as "Backup", but Given a good job in both countries, I´d pick Canada over US any day!

Yes, it is ok to have it in both countries. A lot of applicants in Buffalo are in your shoes. Don´t worry, file for both, they are totally independent.
