Subject: Sharing my IELTS experience
  Hi,
I had my ielts exam last weekend in Ottawa.I am writing to share some experience about the exam.First to let you know I applied for Immi in Sep. and got my file number today:). I was never asked to give any test but still on the advice of many people on this forum,I gave the test.
The most disgusting thing about the exam is the listening test.I thought that they will provide us wih personal headphones and some private space. But instead all of the applicants were sitting in a room and they had a cheap stereo to listen to.
Well, regarding the contents of the exam I should say that its very easy to crack.I didn´t face any trouble throughout the exam.Reading section was so easy that even a 15 year child could answer it.
Wrting included ,writing a letter to your landlord thanking him for his support and letting him know that you are moving.the second task was to comment on the topic that the people now-a-days are not getting enough physical exercise.

My Speaking test was on the next day.I heard that the speaking has changed a lot from what it used br last year.My conversation was very easy.I had to talk about the place that is special to me,sports I like, technology in homes, advantages and disadvantages of technology.when ever I was in a thought process the examiner prompted me with some hints.Overall it was a very easy exam.

MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU GIVE EXAM, YOU ARE AWARE OF ITS FORMAT.you can practise as many test as you want but getting yourself acquainted with the format is the most important thing.

You are the one who is trying to misguide peopls, the so-called \"right to bear arms\" is a bunch of crap. It is not a good idea to try to prove something with which you fundamentally disagree, but it can be done. Anyways, I am not here for argument, I take my words back.

Good Luck for your result!

Reading is assessed much more strictly than listening. I also thought reading was easy and listening was tough, but then I got 9 in listening and 7 in reading. So wait and see ...

IELTS is not that easy if English is your second language, however, preparing carefully there is no need to be afraid of this examination. You can get a lot of help at

Dont get me wrong. All I telling about is "General Training Module".All I want to say is that this exam is not difficult if you have a moderate understanding of English. This is to motivate people and to let them know that IELTS is required for Immigration purpose and not to hesitate writing this exam.

I have met people on this forum who claimed to have done
well in the exam, but were surprized when they got 6 in reading. I would suggest wait for the results first before coming to a judgement.

Thanks,
Brian
