Hi,
I have mailed my spouse application to CPC on Sept 22... does anyone know how long it takes for the Confrmation letter to come?

They do not sent a confirmation letter. The current processing time is 37 days. If you sent your application by mail, it might have been received five days later, so about Sept 27th. You should receive a letter by November 3rd. That´s with adding the current processing time to the approx. date that the application was received.

CIC got my application on Sept 26, 2005. I am in the exact same situation as you. The processing time of 37 days is for in canada application and they are only processing cases received before Sept 15th right now. If the same times apply for out of canada applications we will have at least 6 more weeks before they transfer the files.
Be sure to post if you get any news.
Have you checked ECAS http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/index.html
If not give it a quick check using your Receipt # and check if they´ve started processing your file. Mine is not in the system yet. If yours isn´t in the system let me know so I can stop panicking about my application.
The notes on my UPS tracking form states that they had difficulties with the address, so I´m a little worried that they may have delivered it to the wrong place.

I am sponsoring my (British) wife to come to canada, we sent our application off in early august, we know that CPC Mississauga received it on the 2nd week in august and we have heard nothing.
Its really frustrating.

Hi.
My application was recieved by the Missassauga office, Monday, Sept 26th(the same as Shawns) We sent ours express post, with a signature required, on the Friday before.
I have not heard anything either, but at least we know it made it there(if you happen to request a signature by CIC, and track it on the xpress post´s website, they took DAYS to enter the information in---we thought it was lost and actually had it tracked..)
I had found a website that stated what date the Missasauga office was checking applications(see the posting by Shawn), and know that it will take at least 30+days.
Do you guys have that website that gives that timeline information from Missassauga(not the CIC site!)?? I dont think I bookmarked it.

My application was also recived by CPC on Sept 26th.. (tracking by Expresspost).
I checked online using my repciet#, and still nothing..
Shawn, Jacer... keep me updated aswell on when you see anything online... or receive anything in mail..

Jacer, the site I refered to before was

It´s still a CIC site but it might be the one you mean.
It´s for CIC Missassauga but is for in canada applications, note 2 makes me think it may apply to us also.

my sponsorship application for inland application i was told to send in with the application to PR and send it all to VEGREVILLE, not MISSASSAUGA. so... i haven´t heard anything either.. they received it Sept 22.

i sent a family sponsorship application parkage on 3rd july,wednesday by express canada post. on the parkage i wrote " ADD-ON ",because i am adding a child on my wife´s application in process. Am wondering if my application parkage was not put in first time application envelopes? please would you check for me.thanks
