Hay kool,
Looking at your previous postings, your student visa expired last week. What´s your visa status now ?
I´m in a similar situation. Finished studies 2 months ago and permit expires by the end of Nov. Couldn´t find a job yet. I´m thinking of applying for visitor visa and stay for 2-3 more months to see whether my PR finalises. Problem is I can´t do a job within that period nor can I apply for one. So, it´s a big risk. What do you think?
My Timeline again;
AOR: May 2004
IA: June 2005 Interview waived
Med/Doc: June 2005
Waiting to see CAIPS notes

(in reply to: Kool - What's your situation) Hi Dil:
My study permit expired on Sept 30 and I sent my application for study permit extension on Sept 26. So it is not a real problem for me.
My plan is to defend my thesis by Dec or Jan, but if my file is not finalized before that I may have a delay my defense for a few months. Good thing is that my supervisor is not in a hurry as I have spent only three years in my PhD.
Your situation is really critical. I do not know what to suggest you. Just praying for you that you should get a job asap and also will get your PR soon.
Best wishes my friend.
