Subject: sponcership application
  hi,

I am a landed immigrant in canada and want to know if I can sponcer my first cousin to canada under family category. ALso, what will be the timeline for the same?

On the cic website they do not mention anythig about whether or not we can sponcer first cousin

Please advice.

You can only sponsor your first cousin if your parents are deceased and you do not have any other relatives. If you have aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandparents, children or a spouse you will not be able to sponsor your cousin.

But, CIC has been know to change their minds.
