| Subject: visitor visa update |
While my PR application is under review, I applied for the visitor visa from Detroit. They stamped the visa the same day they recieved my passport and mailed to me. Everything was done in a week. The only problem is the visa would expire in a month.

What is the problem if visa expires in one month. What is your plan?

The website said it would take approx a month to get the visa stamped. I was plaaning to go to Canada in November, thats why I applied earlier.

well in the application form they ask you when is your plan to go to Canada.....you should have said in the application that you have a plan to go there in novemeber then they would have given you a visa for more time......thats your mistake....From USA it takes a minute to get a visit visa to Canda......i applied last year and got my passport in few minutes with a multiple visa for one year....i went to canada, stayed there for a month and came back....now my visa is expired already.....i rememeber there is a column inapplication form asking that when you plan to go there....
