  hello guys
ihave one question, my friend arrives at canada but at airport the immigartion department told him that his immgration has been cancelled by the candian embassy of his home country, and he has go back by the next flight
my question is that whether he should go back or stay over here and fight his case?
and what will be his status over here?

Very odd. What was the reason they gave for the cancellation?

Well, I think you answered your own question. If he was told by Immigration Officers that his entry has been denied and he must board the next flight out of the country, then doesnt he have to leave immediately? I dont think that leaves the individual with many option. Hope that helps.

I realize that he was refuse of entry into Canada , I would like to know though why CIC overseas cancelled his Confirmation of permanent resident.
The only thing I could think of , is that his visa was expired at the time of entry.
I would like to know , since I will be landing in about two weeks and I don?t know what to expect.

Cheers

I highly doubt that he was refused entry for a small or insignificant reason. Andy... do not be concerned. 230,000 people land every year. How often do we hear about people being refused entry.

my guess is either his PR visa had expired or he came without money. In both cases, CIC is very clear about expectations.

...............other reason that you cited he could have answered that he forgot to bring money or he can tell he could arrange that in a day or two. There must be a significant problem...sorry abt that man, Canadian immigration officers don´t do unreasonable things at all.

hello
guys i have seen ur replies , the latest i got is that he has appealed againt his cancellation, and he got stayover, until the case is decided, but still question remains about his status????
the reason for cancellation looks like to be among his documents thats only thing i know, but the real amazing thing is that the whole processof immigration take 2-3 years and then he also cleared his interview , and they didnt say anything during this period and when he landed over here he heard the news of his cancellation
ver sad??????????????
