| Subject: if points do go up.. |
what would happen to anyone that has applied before, like in my case, in Oct 04? Will that change everyone´s status?

We dont know what will happen in the future. But in the past when the points have changed the new points have applied to all the pending applications.
There is NO lock-in date in Canadian immigration.

kenny is right, I looked at inormation on the previous points change, in 2004 and it was stipulated that it would apply to the then current applications. Search for canada immigration points change, or something like that. But I don´t think it´s likeley they´ll do that since it will change thei economy drastically

I used to think that the points are locked.. but it seems after researching they are not!
There is a rumor now circulating that the points will be raised soon in order to trim all the backlog applications
