If someone has already been married before, applied for PR but the sponsor was not approved, so divorced, met someone new, remarried and reapplied, do you think they can hold the previous refusal against the new application?

They will look at the fact.

However, this is not any grounds to be worried. People meet, seperate and meet other people all the time. This is a fact of life.

Make sure you detail everthing correctly and as asked, if they need any explanation they will get back to you.

Small mistakes can create a doubt in the immigration officials mind. For eg. you wrote, "...the sponsor was not approved, so divorced...". This just does not sound right.

Please avoid making such mistakes in your application for immigration and you should be fine.

Hi Kerri.

We can help by auditing your application prior to its submission, so that these "small mistakes" are avoided. It doesn´t cost a lot, but offers great value for your buck...

Please see www.e-ca.ca for more info.
