Subject: Departure Bay...Legit or an Imposter?
Is it just me or is this guy Departure Bay too good to be true? He´s like the ideal immigrant, so appreciative and knowledgeable about Canada...yet so clueless at the same time. Oh and he´s never hanging around people of his own age...odd. I dunno what his deal is or what he´s trying to pull off, or even if my theory holds any weight, but its just been bugging me. Anyone else sympathize?

I think he is very young, no more than 25 years old, because he told us he yelled at Avril Lavigne on the street once, too sterotype and asked for autography. I believe only young people in North America do this.

So funny, I remebered he wrote once :" he is the only Asian scream :"Avril I love you!" and Avril did have eye contact, oh my god. such a dork.

However, I don´t like this kind of person, get white washed and brain wash so fast. Can you believe immigrant with accent always picked up local dumb blondes?

Why do people get upset or question when someone is happy?

Departure Bay is a happy guy who loves life.
Let him love life!
More people should be as happy as DB

Well said Rachunek.

Someone has to be pretty unhappy in their own lives to troll message boards and attack someone who has an obvious love for life.

I find his enthusiasm for Canadian culture (be it in the form of Avril Lavigne, blonde women or Terry Fox) to be infectious. The rest of you schmucks could learn something from that, rather than bellyaching about things like the use of "God" in our national freaking anthem.

I just asked my east indian friend, he told me
Masala ... is a term used in Indian cooking to describe a mixture of many spices, is that right?

Legit or an Impostor? That´s certainly a pressing matter.....

Adrian - does it really matter, there is nothing anyone can pull off on an immigration forum! He´s not begging for money, help or selling anything. He´s young and excited about his new country.

Or do you think he´s an wannabe immigrant getting his info from google? If that´s the case he´s a damn sight brighter than the average person posting on this forum because at least he´s taken the time to learn about Canada in general and one area in particular.

Personally I think it´s the first option. But you go ahead and keep speculating, if it makes you feel better about yourself.
