Subject: US Degrees in Canada
Just wanted to ask applicants who may have had a degree from US and are working in Canada..

Did you face problems in finiding job in Canada due to fact that you have had degree from US University?

It is not written in stone of course, but I´ve heard from quite a few postings in various places that US degree helps a lot since they know you got similar to Canadian education. That will get you the interview quicker. However during the interview if your english is good, and I mean street good, not broken with accent hard to understand, then the chances are far better of you getting the job (if you qualify for the job, needless to say!)

sorry to disapooint you, but it looks like those people who got through the immigration process and and got a nice job in Canada rarely frequent this site. You and I would not browse this site had we already got the PR and a decent paying job, would we?

To make long story short, US education is same if not better than Canada education, unless you get it from non credited US schools. We all know there are plenty of them where you can literally pay to get any degree you want (I get emails all the time-get your PhD online :-)
