Subject: I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DHL knock my door this morning and a big package came along with my Passport and visa and my CORP , they also gave me back my wedding pictures and a nice guide called "A newcomer?s guide" which is very interesting.

I am leaving to Canada in a month since my visa is only valid til the end of October.

As a family member I understand that I don?t need to show a proof of founds , is that right? anyone with a similar experience?

That´s awesome Andy!!! HOORAY for you!! :) Do you know why your visa is only good for a month? Is it because you´re family class, or some other reason? I thought they usually gave a few months so you can wrap things up (sell house, etc) before heading north. Any input there is appreciated. Congratulations again--I´m really thrilled for you!

How goes it Eh?

Eh? ,
I left a little gap in my work history between August 1996 and November 1997 and another since October 2003 til the time of the request and the officer wanted to know what was I doing during that time , salary , company?s name etc.

I sent a letter(same one) by e-mail , fax and DHL the same day I got the request from CIC.

Olek ,
I worked in Edmonton for 16 months , it is a great place to live in , good luck in your interview.

Thanks Andy for the reply. It´s encouraging to hear that you got a job by sending in your resume in response to online ads. My husband has sent in several in Alberta, Ontario, and BC but hasn´t had any response, even though he´s well qualified. We´d sort of given up that path, figuring that companies won´t hire someone until they have their PR, but your story gives me hope that we should keep trying. He´s not an engineer, but works closely with engineering in the energy field, and it looks like there are lots of such opportunities in Alberta. Congratulations again!!
