This is very important subject in this forum now. My Medical exam has been done in April´05. I havn´t got any letter for PP request. Now somes are talking me about quota for the year 2005.
In this forum Sharon, Aluk, Steve already discussed about it. Actually i don´t understand, what is quota? so, I think i have to wait for 2006 also. because my CIC office is Singapore.

Quota is not applicable for all offices. Maybe the quota has not be "capped" for your office.
Until you hear from your CIC office, I´d say you should feel positive that Quota has not been capped.

Canada invites 240,000 new immigrants every year from all around the world. They have established over time a system that attempts to insure that the number of PR´s issued does not exceed that 240,000 limit. (that is how many people Canada thinks it can absorb annually)
Each embassy is given a portion of that 240,000. in 2004 London was allowed 12,600 economic immigrants. Hong Kong - 15,500; New Delhi-11,350; Buffalo 23,800. If Buffalo has issued 23,800 PR visas by October 2005 then any complete applicants for that embassy will be requested to wait until January 1, 2006 to recieve their PR visa because the quota/share/allocation will start at zero again.
Not every embassy has completed their quota as of September 2005- Singapore may be one that has.

Hello Masud,
I also applied from CIC- Singapore and we appeared for interview on April 14, 2005, had medical exams on May 19, 2005, received PPR on June 21, 2005, and visited Singapore on August 3rd, 2005 and got it stamped for me, wife and our kid.
My NOC was 1122 (Management Consultant) and was under SW Class.
