| Subject: Visitors visa wait time at Buffalo Consulate |

Hi,
I am planning on getting a visitors visa at the Buffalo consulate in the next couple of weeks and looking to get some information. Does anyone know how long it takes for the Buffalo consulate to process visitors visa application? I am planning on being at the HSBC center by 8:00 but have no idea how long it take for them to hand over my passport/visa back. I am visiting the consulate friday morning and leaving Buffalo saturday morning so wanted to be sure that I can get my passport back by friday afternoon so that my passport won´t get stuck there over the weekend and also will have some time to enjoy Niagara Falls from the Canadian side.

Tue and Thu the same day unless there is a background check needed on your application.

Took me 2 hours to get it on Thursday. I did apply 3 weeks before by mail. Got back a letter with my passport saying that an interview is required. Arrived in Buffalo on Wednesday, went in for interview on Thursday at 8am. Was out of there by 10am and headed off to Toronto the same day. Good luck with yours. :)

I took a chance and went to the consulate last friday (9/16) around 9:00. Was out with the visa by 12:00. Except for the weather in Buffalo everything else went pretty smooth.
