I am wondering if somebody can help me with this dilemma. I am a canadian citizen with a US green card. I currently live (for > 3 years) and work as a medical resident (in the US.
1-Does anybody know what are my responsibilites toward paying my taxes to Revenues Canada, since I am already paying taxes in the US?
2-I am planning to marry my fiancee from overseas and sponsor her through my Canadian paper, would that be possible knowing that I don´t live or work in Canada?
I hope somebody can answer my questions, and your help is very much appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
sam

(in reply to: Canadian citizen who lives abroad) I believe you must be living or intending to live in Canada before you can sponsor under CIC. You would have to prove your intent.
Can´t you bring her directly into the US with a fiance visa?

(in reply to: Canadian citizen who lives abroad) Thanks Justin. You are right, and I have to be a US citizen in order to sponsor her for a fiancee visa, I have researched it. I guess i´ll have her to bring her with in with a J1-visa or a similar Visa.
