just phone visa office at Buffalo, (716) 858-9501
audio recorder said it takes 1 year backlog in the initial processing period.

That audio recorder is sux, it says "please visit cic.gc.ca"
in each sentence automaticly.

you guys can have a try and see if hear something wrong.

4 months extra. now the question is... is this for new applicants, those already in the que or what. As we have learned about CIC, it is almost impossible for them to guarantee processing because they have zero control over the volume of applications.

4 months more... 16 weekends. Not a lot you can do about it.

I heard that message about 8 months ago. That´s a standard timeframe. Buffalo processing time (time until assessment) is an AVERAGE of 52 weeks, but there are cases assessed in less time (7-9 months) where the interview requirement is waived.

some AOR letters say 36 weeks, some say 52, some say 60. who knows. i think the only thing that is for sure is that nothing is for sure. you just have to wait and see how your individual case unfolds.
