in BC... 20,000 chef, cooks and managers needed between now and 2010.
Come and be a student at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, or Art Institute of Vancouver´s Dubrulle International Culinary arts school. Admission requirements are basic and virtually all grads immediately get jobs.

(in reply to: jobs go begging) Olek, help me out... I am ignorant in your area of expertise. what kind of jobs would a PHD in physics allow you to do in your home country?
My girlfriend has a Masters degree in Fine Arts. She is Canadian. She is now working for a company that sells decorative street banners as a sales rep. She makes good money and seems to enjoy her life very much. She uses a lot of her skills and talent, about 5% of her expertise. There is not a heck of a lot of work for someone with a degree in Fine Arts! She did it because she wanted to.

(in reply to: jobs go begging) I have a Canadian bachelor degree from public post-secondary institution in tourism management major, I make way less money than waitress, city workers collect residencial garbage, not even mention bus drivers or truck drivers.
you know what? I play harmonica on the ocean front street can make 3times more than my wage.
