Well our medicals were done on May 19, 2005 and dispatched by MP on June 02, 2005 and we received letter requesting PP on June 21, 2005.

This all was taking place in CHC-Singapore and we live in Pakistan. I guess its pretty quick, but sending them polite faxes wouldn´t do any harm, as in my case I requested them to reschedule my interview for a date on which it was possible for me to travel to Singapore and they obliged and even made a phone call at my mobile phone (overseas call) to confirm the new date of interview.

Based on my experience, I can say they CHC staff is very cooperative, however input of others who have previously applied from Buffalo would be more relevant in your case.

Regards, Salman

Timeline (in reply to: Waiting for pp after medicals.)
Medicals and and docs submitted in late June, 05 and still no passport request. Some are of the opinion that CIC shut down for the summer (or actually worked on tourist visas and student visas) and may now be starting to work again. Postings on Yogi799 seem to support this theory.

If you have any luck with a fax, let us know. We are all impatient.

Hi Salman
I am sponsoring my wife and we are also working with CHC-Singapore. Have you received your PP back yet? If so how long did you wait from sending it in and what method of courier did you use?

I too found the same response as you regarding communication. Just be clear, friendly and rational in your request and I find that you generally get a favourable response. I sent them a fax and had a response within a day.

Hi close to the end,
Actually I personally went to Singapore to subnit and collect our PP.

Though it was costly affair, but me being over cautious, had to do it this way, and secondly courier companies do not take PP through courier.

Hey Anonymous,

I receieved a reply from Singapore stating that by going in person we could get our visa in 2 - 4 business days.

We opted to send it in via Courier at the begining of Aug and are now going on 3 weeks without any sign of PP.

hi Anonymous,

My attorney also hinted at 2-4 working days, but here is chronology of events;

1. Got letter from CHC_SINGAPORE on June 21, 2005
2. I got the visa for Singapore processed and intimated CHC-Singapore about the date I shall arrive in Singapore.
3. I visited CHC-Singapore on August 03, 2005 and they asked about my return flight and asked me to come on August 04, 2005 between 11.00 and 12.30.
4. I visited on August 04, 2005 got our three passports along with PR papers with date of visa stamping of August 03, 2004.

But to be on safe side, try visiting CHC_SINGAPORE (if money and lil bit time is not concern to you) and try visiting on Monday, so in case you find any typographical errors in PR, you have full week to get it rectified.

Hope this helps.
Good luck for your bright and happy future.

Kind regards,
