Subject: Spouse Immigration..please, advise
Sponsored wife on June 17th. Got approval from CHC-M on July 8th. Haven´t heard anything from CHC-New Delhi as of yet.
Can anyone help me with the process time. Also if you could let me know what is the next step.
Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks for the reply Rachunek. You didn´t answer the second part of the question though. I mean what is the next step. Will they ask my spouse to submit the passport now?

You must wait for a letter from them saying they have received the application...then you must wait...they might ask for an interview...they might not.
If there is not interview and there are no problems with the medicals, then passport will be requestied.

Send everything you have...copies of his passport, police checks and so on. Send it all.....it will save time.
If you have any doubts about anything you send, write a short note explaining the situation.
Cover all areas that they might question. It will save time and frustration.

Good luck

Thanks Rachunek. Last questions. How long would be the period between acknowledgement of application and requesting for passport. Sorry if I am bothering you too much but the problem is that it´s already been more than 2 months and the maximum time is 2-4 months.

Please, advise.

From what I know...you should have heard something by now.
Usually it is one to two months from acknowledgement of application to getting visa.
I have seen people get the visas in ONE month.....maybe call CIC and see what is happening.

Good luck
