Just a quick question
Do you have to physically step foot outside canada in order to land or could you just go to a major international airport to show your visa? I ask as I may send my passport overseas for stamping
any ideas?

Yes, I think so. By the way, when did you get your stamped passport back from Buffalo? How long did it take to get your passport back? Thanks

Just go to the nearest US border, cross over to US and then come back to Canada.
If you do not have US visa they will give you a letter refusing entry in US and then you take this back to the Canadian immigration officials - nothing to worry about.
