Can anyone advise me?
Once you are landed as a permanent resident, are you free to travel to other countries such as America or Europe?

(in reply to: Landed Immigrant) I believe you are free to travel as you wish. However, I dont think you will be classified as a "PR" of Canada by other nations, rather you will have to travel with the passport of your old country.

You may travel wherever you wish , as a PR you may leave and re-enter Canada as many times as you wish. You may travel to the U.S for example , but if your nationality requeries a visitor?s visa , you must have it stamped in your Passport. You are a PR of Canada not a Canadian citizen.
The other countries don?t care if you are a PR of Canada or not.

(in reply to: Landed Immigrant) You still need visa to get in NZ, OZ or any other commonwealth countries. As long as you got a job, that will be easy for you to get a visa!

No more passport pages-help urgently required (in reply to: Landed Immigrant) I have just recieved my acceptence of Landed immigrant Status. All my passprt pages are full, but two of them just have small circular re-entry stamps on them. I have applied for a new passport, but expect the new passport to still take a couple of months to arrive. I have been told that Buffalo needs to recieve my passport by the 20th of next month. My present passport is still valid.
Should I just send them my present passport and hope that they can stamp it on the nearly empty pages..or is it a full page visa?
I really don´t know what to do.
Please help.
