Subject: child question
I think I fell into a discrepancy between an application for study permit and for permanent residence.

On June 2004, I applied for a stsudy permit at the embassy in Mexico city as I was going as a exchanged student to Canada from my university.
When I was in school, I was dating someone for a couple of years. We made the huge mistake of not being cautious and well... She got pregnant one day. We never got married or lived together though, but my name is on the child?s birth certificate.
When I filled out the application for study permit, I never though of putting the child down on the SPOUSE OR COMMON-LAW AND CHILDREN section. I guess I never thought I would ever apply for permanent residence.
This changed when I met someone I fell in love with while in Canada. She came to Mexico where we got married a couple of months ago.
Needless to say, now I have to include this child on the PR application, get him examined, etc. At first I thought I would not need to include him as my dependant child and get him examined since he does not live with me and is not coming with me to Canada.

Oh, I forgot to say that the study permit got rejected because I did not submit the medical results. I did not do this because I found out I would not need a study permit if I was going for six months or less. I was only going for four months. I did not have any trouble going through customs in Vancouver.

My questions are:
What kind of trouble will this contradiction get me into?
Will CIC wonder why I have a child but was never married or in a common-law?
Do I need to get him a passport even when he is not accompanying me?
Will my study permit refusal be another obstacle?
