I should be recieving my letters tomorrow in the post however I couldn´t wait. I called the immigration call center and it was confirmed over and over to me that I have been approved as a perm... resident. All I have to do is go to the local office for an interview and to get my passport stamped.

Good Luck to the rest of you who are waiting.

Congratulations jaided!!!

How come they allowed you to apply within Canada for PR ?many of us had to send the APP to Buffalo and they are taking for ever. I wonder if I could have done it from here anyways all the best.

I´m in Canada and I am in a commonlaw relationship with a canadian citizen so you have to have lived in a commonlaw relationship for at least a year to apply for inland PR. You can stay in canada for 6 months at a time and I extended my visit twice to make it a full year. I fell into that category where I could apply for PR. And my commonlaw partner sponsored me so that is how we applied. If you read up on this stuff on the immigration website it will explain many options. I am not sure how the US does things, I only know how it works in Canada.
