hello guys,
iam posting a message from immigrationportal.com where a guy was sent PP request from CIC buffalo and did not receive it in the mail at his home address. CIC got back to him after 7 months through fax and he got PP request. So scary guys.. Cant even trust the post.

Hi Kothari,
i got a call from Candian Office from NY and she(Lady Called) told they sent PP Request Long Back and they didn´t recived PP she called for confirmation that still i am interested or not.
then i told i am still interested in canada immigration and i told her i didn´t recieved any PP Request or anything from Canada Immigration office.
then she again asked still i am interested or not, then i told her that i am interested on it, then she asked my fax number to sent PP Request again, i gave my Office Fax Number, she immediatly faxed PP Request.my time lines are.
Processing startted on November 14, 2001
Medicals sent around First week of Nov´2004
Pass port Request 22nd July 2005
How long will they give visa to me
Actually i am planning visit next feb or march.

wow,
but for some reason I´m not surprised.
Similar things happened to my friends and that´s a point to order the CAIPS from time to time -just for assurance.
My friends were in extrimely vulnerable situation: work permit expired in a month and no hope to extend it. they got the information about the CAIPS on this forum, and CAIPS obtained in May 2005 stated that PPR was sent to them on February, quite obviously, they did not get it at that time. CIC either forgot to sent the request or it went away on February, which is very strange again.
Anyway, my friends are permanent residents now. But the general idea- CAIPs is a very valuable sorce of information for people who are waiting.
