No problem SW....I know how we would have felt if there had been an interview for my wife. After you send so much proof they still want to talk to him. I can´t see it being the 5 years difference but who knows.
All will be OK.

I also got help filling out my forms. I work for a law firm and the immigration dept helped me fill out the forms.

You can see why I was so confident that things would go smoothe.

SW,

I think that your husband will be ok , the fact that he was called for an interview is a good thing , I have read postings about some people where they weren?t even called for an interview and they received from CIC just a rejection letter.

Interview means , chance to clear some things out.
CIC will ask him , things about the relationship and information very similar to the application.
Just relax and wait for interview to come.

Good luck

SW, this is a very tiring that they do this to you.
I didn´t catch one detail (Rachunek, it is for you too): are you both are applying, or one already has the PR, or you decided to get married during application process? What is the situation?

This is very strange. I am 4 years olders than my hubby and he sponsored me and we didn´t get called for an interview and it was also an inland application. Are the CIC´s that much different out of country that they nitpick at that small of an age difference?

Georgia bay... He sponsored you... rather than the older woman sponsoring the younger man. This seems to be getting people into some trouble. How archaic.

HI
Just to clarify...I am Canadian and I sponsored my wife to come to Canada. We were both together in Poland and I came back to Canada at the end of June. She is still there. She will be here in 19 days. YIPPEE!!

Our whole process from Mississauga to her picking up the visa was 4 1/2 months. There was no interview.

I am 4 years older.

With all this talk about age difference....maybe we should all marry someone the same age as we are. It could save trouble. CIC would have no excuse.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!
STAY CALM....BE PATIENT.....HAVE FAITH

SW, I sponsored my hubby and they asked him for an interview. I send EVERYTHING you did..(phone bills and cards totalling $6,000.00 over a 6 month period) plus photos of our matching tattoos (with our names tattooed on them), letters and ultrasounds from my doctor stating that im in a high risk pregnancy, proof of travel that I went to stay with him every 3 months for one month. Dont worry about the interview, my husband said it was a breeze. He went in and they asked him about me, where did I live (add. incl postal code), my phone number, what job I do, how much money I make, what I do in my spare time, who my friends are, when we got engaged, when we got married, why was my family unable to attend the wedding, hold on...let me call him at work and see what else they asked.....

How much time it took me to get to work, who I lived with, where did we go when we were together, what date exactly did I leave lebanon the last time I was there, how many times I visited and for how long....

This helps them to weed out those who are not in genuine marital relationships. Its not that they are being mean, they are being cautious...spousal interviews are not at all uncommon.

Seriously, RELAX!!!! I wound up in hospital 2 days before my husband´s interview, hooked up to a whole bunch of machines to monitor my baby because I stressed out so much and made myself sick worrying. Make sure he knows all those things I just told you, plus ANYTHING that was written on the application forms and tell him to go in and not be nervous. Just talk to the officer as if he/she is his friend and have a nice friendly conversation. My hubby was told that his demeanour was part of the officers reason for giving telling him immediately that he would receive the visa in 6 weeks (3 days later they called him for pp request...and 3 days after that he was sitting at home with me).
