| Subject: Time after PP submitted to get visa - Singapore |

Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me the time it takes for the Singapore office to return a passport with visa?
Someone mentioned 12 days from sending it in to having it returned.
We have sent it in last week and are now on pins and needles to get it back.
Has anyone else recently gone through this and if so please mention how it was sent (DHL, TNT, FedEx, or mail etc), we need to start planning a flight.

I used DHL and it was less than 2 weeks for us to get them back stamped.

Gladly Singa,
Out of country Spousal sponsership
Jan 2005 - Applied CiC - Mississauga
Feb 2005 - Application sent to Singapore
April 2005 - Request for Police certificate
June 2005 - Sent Police Certificate
July 2005 - PP request (sent to me in Canada)
Aug 2005 - Sent PP to Singapore via DHL (and currently awaiting speedy return)
Also I want to add that, I sent a fax to Singapore regarding what I thought was a mistake on their part (they sent the PPR to me and not my wife) and asked them for an extension on time. They promptly (1 day) sent a fax back stating that she may bring her passport in person to their office to get a quicker turnaround on the visa processing. Unbelievable from what I have been hearing. Sometimes flattery and kind words (as I used in my fax) will get you far.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess spousal application is on a different playing field compared to skilled worker (many of whom have been waiting for months/years without any response whatsoever from Singapore CHC)
