| Subject: Port of entry - urgent !! |

Hello,
I have a question regarding the port of entry once PR is received. My situation is that while I´m living in Canada, my husband resides in the US. Now, he is not from US but from an eastern european country (and I have dual citizenship in that country too). My question is following: woul it be possible for myself and my husband to both go to Europe and wait there for his application approval, while it is being processed in Buffalo? In other words, if he gets his passport stamped (somebody will help with the mailing from US), DOES IT MATTER FROM WHICH COUNTRY HE ENTERS INTO CANADA? If his application was processed in Buffalo, does he have to land from US, or can he land from the european country?

He can land from anywhere and via any port of entry. As long as Quebec was not selected as destination, it doesn´t matter. In the latter case, you HAVE to land in Quebec.

Thanks Ano,
I understand that excluding Quebec one can land TO anywhere, but is it also true that one can land FROM anywhere? (from a country different than the country the application was processed in!)

It doesnt matter where you are coming from.. you can come from timbuktu for all they care, what is imp is you have the docs essential and that you are NOT landing in Quebec
