Subject: AOR feb 2005
  Hi guys:

As I mentioned of previous tread I got AOR in February 2005 the funny thing and my real point is that they created my file number as soon as I sent my APP. I know it because in my receipt isssued 2days after I sent the application they wrote my file number.

I just wanna remark that the file number is assigned immeadiately, they just take a few months to forward it to you for some reason I´d like to know.

So I believe the processing weeks they mention in the AOR are from the moment they received your application ( 2 or 3 days after you mail it).

I Hope you get the point and post your comments only related to this tread.

Thanks alot

Processing date and received date is two very different things Mr Degen95. My application was received by CIC in the last week of October and they cashed my cheque. But Processing started on Feb 2nd week in 2005 and thats when my AOR was dated. AOR mentions that they are assessing applications recieved 36 weeks ago. I am sure and positive that the 36 weeks countdown does NOT start from my AOR date, but my received date. Its foolish to say application recieved was on AOR date. They have already recieved your application when they have cashed your cheque. October applications recieved by CIC will be getting their IA´s this month for sure.

they started processing in feb 05 but my point is the create a file right after cashing your cheque which is just 2 to 3 business days from when you mailed your application.

Why do they send AOR 3 months later when they know they received your APP and when you already have a file? Do they just stack your papers for 3 months on a desk? who knows why they take so long if only takes them 2 to 3 business days to verify everything is complete and create a file #?

just makes me wonder and makes me mad
