  hello guys,
Its been a month exactly since my e-client changed to medicals received and i have not heard from CIC till now.
Its also been 3 months and 3 weeks after my medicals till now. So i have applied for my CAIPS to know what the heck is going on.
I have mailed a letter to them with CAIPS form (no fee), study permit, visa, phone bill ( for proof of address) .Hopefully should hear from them in one to one and half months.I will keep you posted of the developments if some "miracle" happen meanwhile.

Its been 4 months for me after my medicals, my caips got after 3 months confirms I have cleared my medicals but background checks are in process.

Boss it will take one month for caips atleast.
there are many students waiting for PPR.
No one I know has got PPR in June or July 2005
the latest timelines I know for canada students is AOR March 2004 PPR April 2005, and AOR April 2004 PPR May 2005.
Both being my friends.

AOR June, July and August 2004 are waiting....aleast from what I have seen. It would be encouraging to see atleast one person Incanada getting PPR with the above AORS.

Anyways keep intouch below is my yahoo id and messenger address just incase:

hi issabella.,
Good day. If you browse through this forum for 5-6 pages, i remember a guy who is in work permit in canada who has got his PP request in 4 months after medicals recently. But i think this situation would not apply to us.Anyway for your satisfaction you can look into it.

Hi,

I finished my grad studies in 2004, been in work permit since oct 2004, did my medicals in jan 2005. Eclient still shows processing since may 2004. My work permit got renewed recently till oct 2006. The extra documents they asked for in dec 2004, were masters degree (they wrote masters with a pen in the initial assessment) and updated letter from the current employer. The vegreville client id works with eclient too, so buffalo office is aware of the work/study permit situation. So work permit doesn´t necessarily guarantee faster processing. I called the doctor´s office two times and they confirmed that they sent the medicals to ottawa in january itself and mentioned that if i don´t hear anything from ottawa within 2 months from january, medicals are fine.

If you find something odd in caips, what are you supposed to do then other than raising the blood pressure? Of course
privacy laws allow access to own personal information, but that also means that the other side is not obligated to respond to queries about matters they didn´t disclose to you for reasons known only to them! (unless you would like to sue of course) This is my second application and i am not taking any chances.

well it is very circumstantial, In my case I received AOR in January 2004, IA in Aug 2004, done medical in Aug 2004, and still my eclient does not reflect anything regarding my medical. My medical is going to expire by the end of the month. In case you might want to know, I am also doing graduate studies (in PhD level) in canadian school. I have ordered CAIPS, but have not received it yet. I will let you know the outcome of my CAIPS note as soon as I receive it.
I have tried to obtain some statistical knowledge about how the process works, and believe me there is no way. Everyone is different. you see some similar samples and you hope that you might be able to apply the rule, but you are wrong.
So go on with your life, and dont bother yourself too much.

Again, here is my timeline:

AOR--- Mar. 2004, landing fee paid with application (family), Bufallo
Medicals---Oct. 2004, interview waived, no additional documents nor fingerprint requested.

Nothing has come out since then.

My CAIPS note will arrive soon and I will keep you posted.

I have learned to be patient and focus on my work as well. BTW, I hold a work permit.

Cross fingers for each of PR applicants!
