| Subject: How to send Passport to London |
Hi there
I have recd my passport request for visa stamping from CIC London.
I would like to know how to send the passport to London from India?
The courier guys are not accepting the passports.
Is there way out of this situation?
Can somebody help me?

it is illegal to send passport to a another country by mail or courier.Unfortunately u may have to go there personally or send it across with any of ur friend from UK, who is visiting india.

i was in a similar situation. had to send passport from nepal to buffalo, new york. i sent it through dhl. they sent it back to an address of my relative i had given in new jersey with visa stampped. from nj, my relatives sent it through fedex. i hope this helps!

I tried with Fedex, DHL etc., but none seems to accept passport. I am in a fix becuase I donot know how easy it is to get visa to visit London for this purpose

i sent my passport by DHL and it went through and came back fine......they did not bother to even enquire what it was. Talk to SPEED POST also.

Can u please tell me how did u do this. Did u disclose the contents to DHL. From where did u send the passport. Can u provide me with contact info of the DHL from which u sent

Don´t declare to the courier guys that its a passport just mention documents. Not every one flies to London to get their passports stamped. There are many ways to skin a cat.

CALL UP DHL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INFORM THEM THAT YOU WANT TO SEND A PASSPORT. THEY WILL INFORM YOU ABOUT PERMISSION TO BE TAKEN FROM MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS. THEY MIGHT CHARGE U AROUND RS.2000/- AND DELIVER IT WITHIN 2 DAYS.
CHECK THE WEBSITE OF DHL FOR TOLL FREE NO. OR LOCAL NO.
