Subject: Need help/advice
I have applied for my wife´s PR under the family(spousal) class. I sent the application on May 20 to CIC Mississauga. The decision was made on my sponsership on June 10 after which the application was forwarded to CHC New Delhi visa office for further processing. CHC ND started processing my wife´s application on June 20. Since then i haven´t heard from them. I didn´t recieve any AOR nor a passport request. From other folk´s timeline it seems like people recieve a PPR within a month. A couple of weeks back i faxed a letter to CHC ND requesting for an update on my wife´s application. There has been no response.

I am not sure on what I should do now? Any advice would be very helpful.
thanks and enjoy the rest of the long weekend.

MT ,

The first thing , is make sure that CHC in New Delhi has the PR application. Once there usually takes about a month to receive your AOR.

Is there any way to trace it? and make sure that was not lost in the mail?.

You could send a fax with your client number (sponsor one) your full name , date of birth and place of birth and just a straight question such as "what is the status of my wife?s application).

cheers

I think just be patient...it has only been 6 weeks....I know some others have got it faster but each case is individual. Give it till Monday and see what happens.

MT why dont you also try checking with the call center in mississauga.....

if your e-client states that they have started processing your file in delhi on the 20th june.... it means that they do have the file and they are processing it....

But as you stated that there has been no information from there on.... i would also ask you to try calling in the mississauga call center and check if you can get information...

Otherwise the other option that i would only wait till the 3months time line is done for you to actually check on them once again through fax.....

I understand what you might be into right now... but have faith yeah they do the file if the e-client has stated the processing date... just call the call center and lets hope to hear some good information

HI MT

I THINK CHC DELHI HAVE TAKEN LOT OF TIME IN UR CASE.IN MY CASE,CHC DELHI STARTED PROCESSING MY CASE ON JUNE 8th AND THEY SENT ME FILE NO. AND PP REQUEST ON JUNE 15th.MEANS ONLY AFTER A WEEK.I SENT MY PP TO CHC DELHI ON JULY 1st AND YESTERDAY MY E-CLIENT SHOWED ME "DECISION MADE".
SO THERE MUST BE ANY PROBLEM IN UR CASE.THEY MIGHT ASK U FOR AN INTERVIEW.AND MIGHT BE BECAUSE UR A DIVORCEE(if u r).
U MUST CONTACT CHC DELHI SOON.

dipender i will just correct you on this one.... if an interview had to be asked for it would have been done long time back....

Yes its right thta you got to hear from them quick... most of us do get to hear from them quick enough.... but at times there also gets a delay on the pp letter to come in.... it differs from every individual case.... there are some them who got the pp letter more than a month late....
there is nothing wrong.... but yes one still needs to know whats happening... and though you try to contact them it ends up only bugging them...

the safest thing to do is check with the mississauga call center as he has already sent a fax to delhi embassy.... had there been some thing wrong they would have responded to the fax that he had sent....

Well what a coincidence. As soon as i posted my message, my wife gets a call from CHC Delhi asking for her to submit her passport. I guess it was another case of lost mail. I am quite suprised that even though this happens quite often (i mean mails getting lost in India), the CHC still uses them to communicate such important and private information.

As per the conversation, the guy assured her that it takes around 15 days for the passport to be be stamped with the visa. Add few more days for mailing time. I hope this may help the folks who are awaiting their passport.

I know quite a few people suggested me calling up the call center here at Mississauga which I had done last month. the response was that as the application was being processed at a visa office, hence i should be contacting them directly. They didn´t have any information at all. I did fax CHC Delhi on July 21 which they reviewed on August 2nd which i guess prompted the call to my wife.

I think that if an applicant does not recieve any communication within a month, the best best is to fax CHC Delhi for an update. They do respond.

One waiting game is over and another begins. I hope all this ends soon.

Thanks for all your responses and the support.

MY case is also the similar one. I applied for my husband´s immigration on 1st june and after everything, my husband got PPR on 12th aug and so far we didnt get it back yet. I wonder how long its gonna take as I am pregnant and due in mid sept. Too much stress is not good for me but I am all by myself here in Canada and need his presence desperately at this time.
Please advice, what should I do.I already sent a fax to Delhi embassy and also an email but as expected, no reply from there.
