Subject: Spousal App ( US ) approved !
Hello all =) Today is the day that I will never forget ! In the mail today , were 2 brown envelopes stamped with Canadian Consulate General´s address on it. Nervously I opened the first one to find my passport request in it. The second one was filled with the pics and important documents that were required for the application.

Application sent in May 18th, 2005
AoR received on June 21st, 2005
Passport Request July 25th, 2005

From beginning to passport request , 68 days =)

If there is any questions about my process, more than happy to share my experiences.

My application went through Buffalo, NY. Not bad for considering the estimated wait time posted on website states 6 -18 months =)

FBI CJIS Division ? Record Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306

this is where you send your fingerprint card to. hint of advice, express mail them there and prepay for a return express mail and have them put the return envelope when you send them out. i also added a letter and explained to them that the fingerprints were for immigration purposes, and asked them to expedite them. the gentleman at the post office suggested to label outside with expedite date, so i had the postman label the exepdite date two weeks from when i sent them in. needless to say i got them back in 3 days. not something i can guarantee but sure was worth a try, because when i called to see what process times were, it was running about 3 months behind. so really up to you what you like to do =)

In Canada Sponsorship (in reply to: Spousal App ( US ) approved !)
hey could you please email me and kinda tell me how yours went? I´m in canada from US right now. I came here as a visitor with my passport in May and it expires in novemeber. I´m trying to get everything I need, but they are delaying my marriage certificate that I need to show that i´m married to a canadian citizen, and i´m worried about the fingerprints taking too long to get back. everything else is ready to go with my application. any help or encouragement is greatly appreicated!!
