Yep, that??s a good question, my mom asked this questions ten thousands time to me. Why I left my country to Canada, after I finished degree and still not even come home for once singe I left four years ago. And decided to residence in Canada and apply PR half year ago.

Well, I will say during four years of staying in Canada, I get used to Vancouver Island??s island life. Go fishing every weekend, pick up oyster and crab fishing, maybe garage sell sometime, don??t care about what kind of car do I drive, such relax and freedom.

Compare with my home country, I can breath freedom air, which is filled, into my each cell. I like my community. I know everybody??s first name in my street; we exchange homemade beer, kitchen garden fruit. People are so nice to me.

Another thing, Canada is more fair country compare to my own home country. I wanna my future kids to live in a democracy country instead of dictator country. When I was growing up in my college back in home country, hard-core left wing people treat me like a shit. I wanna my kids to have choice to choose what kind of life they deserve for.

For Vancouver Island people like me, no news is good news; I only wanna stable life, no fight, no injustice society. I don??t care I am a pizza boy or earning min wage. You know what? In Nanaimo, it seems that no matter people under welfare or people driving Porches, everybody is happy. You don??t even feel you are poor. To me, this kind of life is what I am searching for!!! In my home country, even though you work hard for your whole life like my parents, they were not treat fairly. In Canada, as long as you work hard, save money, no weed, no alcohol abuse, you can enjoy life and lay back a little bid.

Other reasons? I like listening to QM FM radio station when I am working. Most of places in Canada, employers allow employee to work under radio background, I like it.

You know what is Canadian beauty? On every fall, after dinner I walk around my community, all maple tree leaves are falling down. You have a mood to appreciate such beautiful land of wonder. This is Canadian beauty!

Those are the reasons why I chose to apply PR.

haha, Sharon i am taking English 12 and biology 10 in an adult base education community college here every weekend.
you feel shock how many people older than me still study so hard. It´s only 50 dollars a term, no matter PR or not, all same.have to do provincial with all grade 12 students on Dec.

What I plan to do is after I got PR, i might go back to college and do part-time nursing program.
Maybe I am a future Gaylord Focker in Nanaimo.

hey, don´t laugh, register nurses are respect health care worker, we called them "hometown hero". Well, anyway, just wanna find better employment than right now. Consider I am not going to have a kid in rental basement. Need mortgage house, average canadian family has 2 and half kids(half=dog), they need a lot of spaces.therefore, need find some stable job with better financial relief

for me its still up in the air. my home country is a pretty beautiful place and is a reasonably popular destination for tourists. once you get beyond that, there really isn´t anything there. no job opportunities, no chance for a young professional to grow.

i know that going to canada will be tough but its not like i´m leaving a job and security behind. i´m starting from scratch. i can only go up from here. not leaving anything behind..no kids, no job, no house, etc.. i´m prepared to go back to school to train in something completely different if i have to.

i´m also well prepared to take the so called "survival jobs" as long as necessary before i get something i´m more suited to. competition is tough in canada but at least i have a chance..1 in 5000 is still better than 0 in 100 as far as jobs go.

First it was ME, then it was US, but now it is HER.
We keep HER good in mind before anything else while making such a decision.
You guessed it?
ME = ME
US = My wife and ME (After marriage)
HER = Our daughter

Just want our kids to have a better life than we had.
(Little bit for ourselves too if possible ;) )

That´s it !
