Some info (in reply to: Canada or new zealand?)
I don´t know if either country is better, different maybe. I live in Canada and I love it. I think the most common complaint among immigrants to Canada is that they have a difficult time finding work in their field. Also it is difficult to have your education and work experience recognized, as Canadian experience and Canadian education are always preferred. I hope the info below helps!

What does that have to do with immigrating to either country if you are a fisherman or going to make hamburgers? Don´t be bitter just because your own qualifications are seen as substandard. If you want your USA degree to be valued, stay in the USA, its common sense my friend.

dude, don´t be ridiculous. you think its that easy to stay in the US? the only reason people are rushing to canada is because they´re frustrated with the whole US immigration process (h1B->green card or just getting the h1B at all). if you told everyone on their expiring h visa that they could stay, they would say f*ck canada in a heartbeat.

going to canada is always "plan B".

Well thank God for that. At least people like you who think Canada is a "second best" country will be filtered out or discouraged from moving here. Keep living your American dream, I just hope that for your sake you don´t end up living it north of the 49th parallel. How ironic would that be?
