Where are you landing, and why?

Subject: Where are you landing, and why?
I just thought it would be an interesting topic of discussion to find out where everyone is planning to land and live, and why. Have you been there? Do you have friends or family there? A job?

We are a bit torn on where to land, and where we want to make our new home. Our dream is to live in our favorite city, Halifax, but job opportunities are slim, which it makes it unlikely for us. We´ve traveled so many times to Ontario, and southern Ontario would be similar to where we are currently, which could be nice. But sometimes it seems like a great adventure to throw ourselves to the wolves, as it were, and go somewhere totally different, like Edmonton, where we have never been. Realistically, if we can land a job before getting our PR, we´ll go wherever that is, and make a home for ourselves wherever that may be.

What are your experiences and hopes?

If you just think of job Toronto would probably be a nice place to get strated. I currently live in southern Ontario and the job opportunities are not as many as in Toronto. Overrall jobs in Ontario seems better than other cities but it also depends on your professionals. Calgary and Edmonton might be nice places too except the cold weather there.

Ha ha Ano. I just thought it would be interesting to take a small break from all our worrying and share something else of ourselves. (Note to LongWait: I LOVE the cold weather! I lived for some years in Minnesota where it gets to 30 below F pretty regularly and didn´t mind a bit! I miss snow from October to April!!)
