Subject: Seeking help on Canadian Immigration
  Hi,

I live in USA and I am planning on filling immigration application for my sister who is in New Delhi, India. I will greatly appreciate guidance on the following:

- Any recommended Immigration Consultant I should use for this purpose?

- Is it possible to file the application at a location other than New Delhi? For example, can we file the application in Singapore where the processing times are shorter.

Thanks
Ralph

Under which category does your sister want to apply?

The process of applying for Canadian immigration is very simple. If you still want to hire someone I recommend that you hire a lawyer rather than an immigration consultant.

I suggest you and your sister visit www.cic.gc.ca and download the guide for the category under which your sister wants to apply.

Unless your sister is admitted to another country say Singapore for a period of at least one year she can not apply for immigration from that country. Visit the following link to get more information about the average time take to sponsor.

Kenny,

Thanks for your reply. She will be applying in "skilled worker" category. Do you happen to know a good Canadian immigration lawyer?

Ralph

Tell your sister to check CIC?s website and desided if a lawyer is necessary.

The applications are straight forward and are very simple to fill in.

Good luck
