Subject: minimum stay upon landing with a fresh PR visa
I received "passport request" a while ago for my PR application.
I will have to get the immigration visa real soon, and have it
stamped by entering Canada (because medical was done nearly 11
months ago). However, I need to come back to US soon after,
because (a) Currently I have a job in the US, and (b) I have
taken up a new job in the US, starting in three months -- that
I want to pursue, at least for a year.

My questions are:

Can I come back to US in a few days after first landing? I believe
I can, but will it affect my Canadian PR status in some way?

Also, in the long term (12-15 months), I want to go back to Canada
as a PR to start out there. Considering my plans what should/must
I do or consider (both now and later).

Any suggestion/opinion/thoughts would be appreciated. --- Thanks!

You can go back to US the same day, if you want, after completing the landing procedure. But if you want to apply for SIN and health insurance you can do it in a day.

To maintain you PR status you have to stay in Canada for 2 years out of 5 from the day you land as PR. So I see no problem in you plan.
