Subject: Police Clearance from Houston, question!
Hi all members of the Forum,
I recently came to know that now the Indian Embassy is accepting applications for PCC from Indian citizens with a copy of the passport. Then once the PCC arrives you have to send the original passport and get the passport stamped and the PCC. This is welcome change on the part of the Indian embassy that they accept a copy of the passport initially.

I was wondering if someone has actually sent a copy of the passport first and then contacted the embassy and got the PCC. It is hard to believe that such change has taken place in the procedures.

Please share your experiences and enrich the forum. Good luck to all of you.....Hope.

That is new as far as I know you had to send in the original passport.

Maybe if you are in Houston and can visit in person they may just accept the copy instead.
