Subject: Update Information??
  Hi,
I applied for permanent residence to Buffalo in November 2004.
Since that time, I have graduated from a canadian university with a Master´s Degree and recently started working in Canada on a postrgraduation work permit, which means that I didnt get a HRSDC confirmation. however, at the time I applied I had 71 points,
but with this update I would have 86 points!!
My question is, if I send them a photocopy of my degree plus a letter from my employer,
would they add that to my file or no?

And what is the best way to contact them? by mail or fax??
Thanks,

you can send by fax but in realistic terms, once you hit 67 points you have satisfied CIC. now there is just medicals, background checks and patience required.

No Need to do it It may increase waiting time in your application because they have to go through the documentation ,update your points etc etc...If you have crossed 67 point makr you will consider like one who have 90 points !!

I scored 68 got PPR in 10 months.so just wait..

YES, you have to submit your documents...

First, more points better it is... will waive your interview...

Second, whenever anything hcanges you have to update the CIC. so you should go ahead and update them... and then you think its 71 points... it could be different too... who knows... so better send them updated documents

Update Information?? (in reply to: Update Information??)
Casper,

I too am completing my Masters in Aug 2005. What is the procedure for postrgraduation work permit? Because whereever, you apply, they ask you whether youa re entitled to legally work in Canada

2Sagi:

After graduation from Canadian university you can apply for one-year work permit to get an experience with your profession (but the job must be related to the studues at the univ.)

Ask the Intl. students office of your univ.
