Subject: PP Request with Medicals and extra documentation
I have recieved a letter from New Delhi informing me to undergo Medicals and also send some additional documents (police clearnace, financials, etc). However, the covering letter also mentioned to send in the passports.
My lawyer has however informed me not to send the passports now but send in the medicals and the other documents asked for, and await call for passport later.
Could anyone advise if this view is correct or should I send in the passports as well with the other documents asked for?

A lawyer that advises you to defy what CIC instructs you to do is not one I would keep on the payroll. This is not a civil or criminal case of which the lawyer can protect you from some kind of injury or damages. This is an instruction by the very people who act as judge and jury with respect to your chances of successfully obtaining PR status in Canada. Listen to the lawyer if you want to slow things down. Listen to CIC if you want to go to Canada.

Just my humble opinion.

Best wishes.

Usually after medicals the CHC asks for additional documents... this usually happens when they find your case to be okey and are ready to issue you the visa provided your medical results are okey.

It take about 3 months for the medicals to reach to consulate. In the meantime CHC asks for letters so that they know that you have the required $10,000 (1 persons for SW category)

Its advisable that you send all the documents requested...
get your medicals done. Now about the passport... if you do not plan to leave the country for any holidays or work releted or anything then send your passport... if you plan to use it in another 3 -6 months then dont send it and send it once you are done with your trips... because if you send your passport then you cant get it back temporarily.

Hi,

The CIC is sending the standered letters to every one, if you send the PP now they will keep in the file till every thing is ok like BG check.

I had the similar rpoblem but my consultant told not to send now CIC will ask for the same latter, so i not send that.
now i got another letter from CIC to submit the PP, so am forwarding the PP.

Your lawyer will be having lot of experience from that only he might be advicing you.
in this forum there ar lot of guys who send the PP and waiting for six months.
