- INTERVIEW waived, RCMP Clearance waived.
- Application sent from Toronto to Buffalo.
I travelled to India for 4 months after application so I had to submit Police Clearance Certificate(PCC) from India. I got the PCC done at the Indian Consulate in Toronto and had no problems.
I also e-mailed the Consulate checking for my status and they have replied that the passport is with the VISA clerk so I am waiting for my turn when they will stamp the visa and sent it to me...

if you send your last step document for almost 3 months and still didn´t hear anything for canadian side, most probably they sent your file for background check and it would take up to 6-9 months. in my case, it already took 4 months and i am still waiting. note since i sent my last step docs, it was already more than 5 months.

Here is my time line guys.,
I had applied from toronto to buffalo and iam from india on student visa in canada.
Application Post : Buffalo
Application : Mid july 2004
AOR : 15th August 2004
Initial assessment (IA) : 22 March 2005
Interview waived, CIC asked for current bank statements. They did not ask for fingerprinting but i submitted one.
Request for Medicals : 22 March 2005
Medicals completed : 15th April 2005
Additional Document sent : 23 April 2005
Fingerprinting done on : 2 March 2005
Right of landing fee (ROLF) and right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) was sent along with initial application. Iam still waiting for my PP request. Also we have to bear in mind that it takes 15 days for the letter from CIC buffalo to reach to toronto. So infact i got the letter for medicals from CIC in toronto only on 6th april.
Hope this helps. I would be interested in hearing from someone with similar kind of timelines or somewhat close to it.
