Hello,
I?ve got a question about driver?s license.
After landing, will your foreign license be converted into canadian terms or are you obliged to get the canadian license and pass some examinations?
What about special licenses like taxi driving or truck driving? Is it difficult to get them?

It depends on your country of license and on your exp. Please log into the driving license web site and you will find full info about the countries that its icense can be transfered to a canadian one and other that you need to pass test.

?ve done so and found out that Canadian, American, Austrian, German, Swiss, Japanese or South Korean driver´s licences can be transfered into B.C.`s drivers license; other nationalities will have to pass tests.
Also there was a guide about the different classes of driving licenses on the page "www.icbc.com" . It is very clear and informative.
I guess german licenses for commercial driving would not be recognized in Canada, so that one should get those licenses by passing the canadian procedure? Where to ask about it?

Check the website http://www.mto.gov.on.ca for ministry of transportation of Ontario...

Renew driving license (in reply to: Drivers license)
I had the Canadian driving license for ten years, however, it was expired for 11 years ago. Can I renew the license? Or I have to reapply as the new driver?
