Hi guys,
I see we´re in the pretty much same pooh here and i was wondering if you would be able to answer some of my questions...
I sent my application for a work permit (processed outside of Canada) to Buffalo, NY almost 3 weeks ago and I still haven?t got any reply from them. Do you know what is the waiting time for temporary visa applications in Buffalo? My "consultant lawyer" tells me that it´s a matter of weeks from the date sent. Is this true?
I am curently in Toronto on visitor visa and I would like (need) to start working ASAP.
The frustrating thing is that I cannot check my application status in Buffalo. Or I can?

Hi Robert,
I am pretty much in the same situation - they received my docs on May 20 and I have not heard anything since. Tried to send them a fax almost a week ago asking about the status - no response so far.

it normally takes approximately 5 weeks guys. I did this process in 2004 and it took that much time.The main problem is that US post is so slow that it takes 15 days for that letter from buffalo to reach toronto.
